I can't believe that it's been 26 years already since the Blizzard of '93. The date was March 12th, 1993 and it's a day most of us won't forget where we were when it blew through town, I know where I was.

It was a Friday and that night, I went to the Black Crowes concert at Mansfield University. The next day, I was moving to Nashville but instead of making the 14 hour drive to start a new chapter in my life, I was snowed in at a friend's place in Warren Center, Pa.

I spent the weekend at my friend Dave’s cabin (it was more like a trailer.)  We passed the time away by playing cards, listening to music and shooting guns INSIDE....Relax, it was only a BB gun in the cabin and no one lives nearby.

On Monday, the snow plows had a chance to get me out and then I made my trip to Nashville. I was going to continue my radio career there but I ended up only staying for 9 months then moved back home.

Why? That’s a story for another day but you are more then welcome to ask me anytime. So what were you doing 26 years ago today?
