Southern Tier residents have a chance to pick their favorite in the Mental Health Association’s first Mask Up face mask competition. 

MHAST hosted the competition to remind people to “mask your face, not your feelings” as people are dealing with the coronavirus global pandemic.

People were encouraged to show off their creativity in making facial coverings for categories that included formal wear, hometown theme, team effort and funniest.

The competition ended August 2 with voting of a fan favorite starting August 3 at www.mhast.org.  The People’s Choice winner will be determined by the public vote that ends in the morning on Wednesday, August 5.

The winning entries will be displayed on First Friday, August 7 at the lot at the corner of Court and State Streets from 6 to 8 p.m.
