Broome County's death toll from the COVID-19 pandemic has grown with another two victims.

Broome County Executive Jason Garnar has announced there have been 82 deaths since the coronavirus outbreak began in March.  Broome had one more case reported in the September 9 briefing, bringing the total to 1,266.

Chenango County reports four new cases over the past day to a total of 239.  The death toll remains at 7.  Cortland County added two cases for a total of 106 with one death.  Delaware County was unchanged at 114 and 6 fatalities.  Tioga County's total coronavirus infection case grew by one to a total of 227 with 25 deaths.

New York State reported three additional deaths for a total of 25,370. On day 193 of the pandemic, there were 576 new cases for a total of 441,154.

Pennsylvania has a total of 141,290 confirmed and suspected cases and a death toll of 7,805.

In the Northern Tier, Bradford County has a total of 103 cases and three deaths. Susquehanna County has recorded 284 cases and 28 deaths while Wayne County has recorded 196 cases and 10 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
