It's a face mask contest to encourage the community to mask your face, not your feelings. They want to honor the most creative handmade masks and is open to all community members and all ages.

You only have a few weeks left to get your entry, you have until August 2nd to get your digital submissions in. You can enter as many masks as you would like with prizes in several categories including:

DIFD theme
Funniest
Best Formal Wear
Best Overall
Best Hometown Theme
Best Team
Peoples Choice
Best Team
Best Youth Entry (up to 12 years)

We've all been affected one way or another by COVID-19 and it's really easy to hide our true feelings. They are hoping that this contest will begin the conversation, even if it's uncomfortable.

The winners will be announced in conjunction with First Friday on August 7th.

Until further notice, visitors are not allowed at their main office but help is still being offered. If you are feeling overwhelmed, you can reach out by calling the NYS COVID-19 Emotional Support Hotline at (844) 863-9314.

Their 24-hour Peer Support Warm Line is also available at (607) 240-7291.
