I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Mom’s House of Johnson City, but what they do for our community is pretty awesome.

Located at 770 Harry L. Drive in Johnson City, Mom’s House is a non-profit that offers services to single parents who are working toward a brighter future.  Mom’s house has been around since 1988 and has been a source of hope and means of change for so many single parent families in the greater Binghamton area.  Mom’s house provides free childcare and other support services that help single parents complete their education and find full time work.

SUNY Broome students have teamed up with Moe’s Southwest Grill to raise money and awareness for Mom’s House.  On Wednesday January 23rd customers who stop by Moe’s Southwest Grill on the Vestal Parkway from 10am-3pm can opt to have a portion of their purchase donated to Mom’s House by presenting an event voucher when they place their order. If you’d like to help out, you can pick up a voucher at Mom’s House, from the event’s Facebook page, at Moe’s or from the students of Public Relations Practicum at SUNY Broome.

SUNY Broome students selected Mom’s House to lend their support to because they admire what Mom’s House does to help young single parents in our community get the footing for a better live that they deserve.
