SungEel Metallica Americas (SungEel MCC Americas) issued a statement saying it remains committed to the safety of the community and is promising to remain transparent in sharing information about the project.

The letter dated May 19 from SungEel President Danish Mir says the company is “committed to engaging with the community throughout every step of the process, from permitting to operations and beyond.”

Mir says Endicott was chosen for the development largely because of the community and SungEel looks forward “to becoming a neighbor, employer and valuable contributor to the local economy” and will be releasing further information to the public in the coming days that it expects will “adequately address the questions that have arisen.”

The company’s website is www.smccrecycling.com.
