The 20-year-old Roque was named in an indictment handed up Monday by a Broome County grand jury.

Authorities say the 19-year-old Souza was repeatedly stabbed on April 15 in Windham Hall, a dorm on the university's Vestal campus.

Roque was taken into custody in his dorm room the day after the fatal attack on the engineering student.

According to the district attorney's office, an arraignment on the indictment will be scheduled in Broome County Court.

Souza, who was from Brazil, graduated from Blind Brook High School in Westchester County last year.
