Phone Trouble for NYS Police in Kirkwood
People trying to reach the New York State Police Binghamton operations for non-emergency calls have been having some telephone issues on-and-off over the past few days.
A call to the Kirkwood Barracks at 607-775-1241 either gets disconnected before ringing through or is greeted with a rapid buzzy signal.
Officials at the State Police Troop C Headquarters in Sydney say they have gotten a few reports of problems connecting to the office in Kirkwood. Calls to the satellite barracks in Endwell rings, but that desk is not always staffed as patrols are on the road.
Any emergency, of course, should be called in to 9-1-1.
In a non-emergency if there is a problem connecting to the State Police desk number in Kirkwood, callers can call the headquarters number in Sydney at (607) 561-7400.
