Parolee Found With Illegal Weapons in Home in Marathon

Parole officers in Cortland County say they found parolee had illegal weapons in his home in Marathon.

Officers showed up at 9:20 a.m. June 13 at the Cortland Street home of 47-year-old Samuel Merihew and found a 5-inch dagger and a pair of metal knuckles.

Merihew was taken into custody without incident and turned over to Cortland County Sheriff’s Deputies.

He is charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon.

Merihew was sent to the Cortland County Jail without bail.
