Official U.S. Flag Disposal Box Comes to Tioga County

Many counties, now including Tioga, have teamed up with the foundation as a part of a new campaign to support proper flag etiquette. Each collected flag will be properly retired with dignity.

According to WBNG, Tioga Countay says collected flags will have a proper and dignified disposal annually.

A retirement ceremony will be performed by by a local American Legion or Eagle Scout group in which they burn the flags with respect.
