Unfortunately, due to the wonderful late fall weather that is bestowed upon us, The Holiday Hot Air Balloon Night Glow that was to occur Wednesday evening, was cancelled.

The Broome County Festival of Lights site shows more dates are scheduled for the Hot Air Balloon Night Glow. The next evening is scheduled for Saturday December 19th followed by December 26th.

A quick explanation about the Night Glow: hot air balloon pilots unpack their balloons and gondolas, tether them in place and light them up showing off the amazing colors of the balloon in the dark among all the lights from the Festival of Lights display.

It's definitely something for the entire family to witness as is the nightly Broome County Festival of Lights at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton. Speaking of the Festival of Lights, it's great to have it back after a several year absence.

Now through January 10, Otsiningo Park is open to drive through and enjoy all the different types of lights and holiday displays. Hours of operation are 5 to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 5 to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Admission is just 15 dollars per car, and veterans receive free admission when providing proper identification. Monies raised go to various organizations including programs that benefit veterans, Catholic Charities of Broome County and the Spiedie Fest and Balloon Rally.

With 2020 being a tough year for us all, a nice ride through this awesome holiday display could be just the think to brighten up you holidays. More for information, visit the Binghamton Spiediefest Facebook page.
