For most of us, when we think of Christmas, it takes us back and brings a smile to our faces.  I think so many people are frustrated with what's going on around us and we pine for a simpler time and that's why there seem to be more homes with the Christmas spirit in their front yards and garage doors.

It seems like where ever I travel to in the Southern Tier, entire blocks are filled with bright lights and Nativity scenes. In the Apalachin area, I came across two blocks of holiday spirit and I understand there will be having a celebration in the area on Christmas Eve Eve.

As I continued driving around the Southern Tier, I actually took a wrong turn and I stumbled upon this house in Crestview Heights in Endicott. The entire yard was covered and I could even Santa waving to me from the upstairs window.

Even though I was "lost", I took some time to take these pictures to share.

I was glad that I took a wrong turn and ended up on this street. This display was like an oasis in the desert because there weren't very many other displays in the area. It was like following the star over Bethlehem with its Christmas lights leading me out of the dark.

You still have time to show us your holiday light displays, so go here and let your light shine. Here are some more holiday lights displays to get you in the mood for Christmas.
