If someone created a television channel that showed nothing but videos of troops being reunited with their family, I would watch it day and night and I would cry so very much.

One high school graduate in Alabama got a lot more than just his diploma on his graduation day and I know that he will not ever forget his special day.

Steven Turner Jr. was shocked to see his mom, Vera Turner, a Petty Officer 2nd class in the Navy, at his graduation ceremony. He spotted her just as he was about to walk across the stage in his cap and gown. It was the first time he'd been able to hug his mom in nine-months as she'd been serving at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Turner intentionally kept her homecoming a secret from her entire family, working out the details for her surprise arrival with the school district.

As mom and her son were reunited, all Steven could say was, “Mama, thank you. Thank you, mama. I love you.”
