It’s National Spring Cleaning Week
Spring is officially here on Wednesday, March 20th at 5:58 p.m. and that means we get to celebrate National Spring Cleaning Week. So is there any protocol for Spring Cleaning Week? The experts have their advice and I have mine. I call it Glenn's Guide (GG) to Spring Cleaning.
Experts: When you dust, start at the top and work down.
GG: Save time and money on feather dusters. Give your cat some extra cat nip and have it use it's tails.
Experts: Wash the walls from the bottom up to avoid streaking.
GG: Fill up your super soaker with Windex. For added fun, hand a super soaker to all of your kids. You'll save time and it's a family bonding experience that the kids will actually enjoy.
Experts: Wash the knickknacks instead of just dusting them.
GG: Put the knickknacks in a load of laundry....with nothing else. It's one way to get new knickknacks for the house.
Experts: Open a box of baking soda to absorb odors in your refrigerator.
GG: To keep the kids out of the refrigerator thus saving energy and food, keep your dirty socks in there. Added odor will help to keep the food I want to eat in the frig.
The key to Spring Cleaning is not having to do it yourself. This is my tried and true method, several years ago, I offered to help with the Spring Cleaning. By the time I was done, I was asked to never, ever help again. Ahh, the Master Planner strikes again.
