Today is National Pancake Day, a day IHOP created 15 years ago with the goal to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. There's also a National Pancake Day in September but this is the day that can make a real difference.

IHOP expects to serve up more than 5 million pancakes, which if stacked, would stand almost 19 miles. Beginning at 7 a.m., you can get one short stack of buttermilk pancakes for free.

You can celebrate National Pancake Day locally at the IHOP, 3720 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal and it runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. In return, you'll be asked to consider leaving a donation for the Children's Miracle Network Hospital and Geisinger Hospital.

While you're there, find out how you can sign up for a chance to win free pancakes for LIFE. This is a great way to help take care of kids right here in our community who have serious medical needs.

Your donation can also help Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Can't make it to IHOP but want to help? Online donations are also accepted.

Here's your chance to enjoy a breakfast favorite and help out kids at the same time. Talk about your win-win. National Pancake Day at IHOP is dine-in only.
