I couldn't imagine what it would be like if I lost my daughters, Riley and Tara at a young age...or any age for that matter. It brings a tear to my eye when I think "What if I lost them to cancer at the age of 6." I think about all the things that I've done with them and how much I would have missed out on if I had lost them so soon.

So my heart breaks for the Cook family because they lost their daughter, Ariah on March 15th, 2020 at the tender age of 6. Throw in all the coronavirus pandemic news that was going on too and it had to be heartbreaking.

I've been told that she was a bright young girl whose smile could light up a room and whose bravery and courage touched the lives of many. They want to honor her with Ariah's Ride and we hope the third time is the charge.

It was originally scheduled for June 6h and then moved to June 27th. A new date has been set and weather willing, they'll finally be able to pull it off. The new date is Saturday, July 18th at Sam's Bar and Grill at 900 N. Wilber Avenue in Sayre PA.

Registration is from 8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. with kickstand up at 10:30 a.m. All bikes are welcome as long as they are road legal and you are asked to wear a helmet for your safety. The 162-mile trip ends back at Sam's and there will be entertainment for young and old alike.

Chinese Auction, raffles, live music, and more to benefit Ariah's family and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Members from the American Cancer Society will be there with Luminari Bags for donations too.

You can pre-register by calling (570) 731-4658. Find out more about Ariah's Ride here.
