It's Martin Luther King Jr. Day- a day to remember the work of a great man who's legacy lives in each of us.

The NAACP of Broome and Tioga counties will hold their annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration from 2pm-4pm today inside Binghamton City Hall's second-floor art gallery.

During this celebration, there will be speeches, dance performances and singing. Students from local school districts will participate in this event.

At the conclusion of the City Hall celebration, Broome County Martin Luther King Jr. Commission will hold an evening program at 6pm.  If you're interested in participating, plan to meet at the Martin Luther King Jr. statue in the Peace Makers Square near the Court Street Bridge by Boscov's where you'll then march to  Salvation Temple Church at 80 Main Street in Binghamton.

Following the march, there will be speeches, singing and a reception at the church.
