Marineland Workers Report Horrific Neglect Of Animals

I'll tell you one place I will not be going when I visit Niagara Falls is Marineland.  As being one of the biggest draws in a favorite tourist destination, the elaborate sea lion show is always a favorite.  But the Toronto Star revealed horrific neglect at the family-friendly resort.  Behind the scene extensive interviews with eight former employees showed two sea lions in pain with their eyes clenched shut, with one of their eye balls actually falling from his socket, landing on the floor, leaving a stream of blood.  Video images and reports show dolphins with their skin flaked, and the skin floating on water.  Four of the park's killer whales have died since 2004.

To me, there is only one solution to these alleged acts of animal cruelity.  If these finds are true, close the park, arrest those involved and protect and treat the animals involved.  There is no excuse for animal neglect and cruelity.  People have no idea what goes on behind the scenes and people have to take a stand when the spotlight exposes such acts.
