2016 was quite a year for the Maine-Endwell Little League team. They win the Little League World Series Championship in Williamsport, Pa. and travel all over the country receiving the accolades that they deserve.

It continues today in Albany. Senator Fred Akshar and Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo will host the players, coaches and families for a full day at the Capitol. It'll end with resolutions recognizing the team's achievement on both the Senate and Assembly floors.

It begins with lunch at noon. The team will get a private Capitol Tour beginning at 1 pm. At 2:30, they will attend a reading of an Assembly Resolution honoring their championship in Assembly Chamber.

It'll wrap up at 3 pm when the team will attend a reading of Senate Resolution honoring their championship in the Senate Chamber. We are extremely proud of the team and they have handled themselves with dignity and class and I couldn't be prouder.
