I'm excited Kolby Oakley will be co-hosting 'Noon Toons' with me Friday (June 17) on the Hawk.  I asked him to bring along lots of Nashville stories and his new song ' You and A Six String' that was released last month on iTunes.

Kolby is a great conversationalist so I look forward to catching up with him and finding out what he has planned for his July 22nd 'Toyota Country Lights Festival' at NYSEG Stadium in Binghamton with Montgomery Gentry, Easton Corbin, Eric Paslay and Lindsay Ell.

I know his huge fan base here in the Binghamton area have really been buying up the reserved grandstand, field tickets and VIP tickets.  Actually Kolby's fans like to be close to the stage so expect to hear a lot of hootin' and hollerin' when we hits the stage July 22nd.

So since our recent installments of 'How Well Do You Know Kolby Oakley?' did so well, I thought it would be fun to play a little Kolby Oakely "Balderdash."

3 of these things about Kolby are true and one is false.  Tell us which one is not true and you win.

  1. Kolby Oakley's hit 'Mud Bog' received over 20,000 views on YouTube.
  2. Kolby has opened for Eric Paslay before.
  3. Kolby Oakley is a native of Binghamton, New York, where he was raised with his musical parents.
  4. Kolby plays many musical instruments, although it's drums and guitars that are his fave.

Answer:  3 is false.  Kolby is from Whitney Point, New York, where he was raised by his musical parents, Kim and Steve Oakley.  Kolby now lives in Nashville but is coming home for the Toyota Country Lights Festival, Friday July 22nd in Binghamton.  Tickets start at $20 for reserved grandstand and can be picked up at the NYSEG Stadium Box Office or at CountryLightsFestival.com.
