Investigators say a man was injured after he was attacked by a person with whom he had a "history of neighborhood disputes."

According to New York State Police, 21-year-old Jamell Brunson of Kirkwood has been charged with second-degree assault in connection with the incident.

Investigators say Brunson is accused of attacking the other man after words were exchanged on Loughlin Road on March 12.

The injured man was taken to Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton for treatment of fractured bones and bruises.

Brunson was arrested the day after the alleged assault. The neighbor was issued an order of protection.
