Officials with the United States Attorney Northern District say 48-year-old Michael Rushmer has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison after admitting he created sexually explicit images and videos of a child, and distributed some of them over the internet.

Rushmer pleaded guilty admitting some of the videos he recorded were done secretly as the victim engaged in sexual acts. Some of those images and videos were distributed to people over the internet and Rushmer admitted he possessed hundreds of images and videos depicting child pornography on his electronic devices.  Some of those included children under the age of 12.

Senior United States District Judge Thomas McAvoy also imposed a 10 year term of supervised release, payment of 9-thousand dollars to victims and Rushmer will be required to register as a sex offender.
