Binghamton’s All Paws for a Cause Returns for 25th Year

If your dog believes every gathering was organized specifically for them, the YWCA of Binghamton and Broome County has an event that will only encourage that behavior.

The 25th annual All Paws for a Cause is happening Sunday, September 13, at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton. It is part dog walk, part festival, and part opportunity to finally prove that your dog really is the most talented, best dressed, or loudest one in the Southern Tier.

When Is All Paws for a Cause 2026 in Binghamton?

All Paws for a Cause 2026 will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton.

Registration opens at 10 a.m., and the walk begins at 11:30 a.m. The event itself is free and open to the public, so you can still enjoy the activities, meet the vendors, and admire all the dogs even if you are not participating in the walk.

What to Expect at All Paws for a Cause 2026

This isn't one of those events where your dog walks in a circle, gets a treat, and goes home. The 2026 activity lineup includes a doggie costume parade, talent show, agility course, Treat Crawl, Paw Art, photo booth, raffles, giveaways, and local vendors.

Dogs can test their skills in the Zoomie Zone agility course, stop by the Smooch Your Pooch kissing booth, or jump into ball pits sized for both large and small dogs. There will also be live first aid demonstrations for pet owners and a memorial trail board where families can share photos of pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Then there are the contests, because every dog has a special talent, even if that talent is stealing food from the counter and pretending they have no idea how it happened.

Contests will include categories for best lookalike, best bark, highest jump, smallest dog, largest dog, and hairiest dog. There will also be a doggie ice cream eating contest, a pink pup costume competition, and a game of Musical Sit.

How Much Does All Paws for a Cause Cost?

Registration for one dog and one owner is $20 when completed before the event. Registration will cost $25 on the day of the event, and each additional dog is $5.

You can register for All Paws for a Cause online before arriving at Otsiningo Park. The first 100 registrations will receive swag bags, so this is one of those times when procrastination might cost you free dog stuff.

Participants who raise more than $100 will receive one of 15 VIP swag bags. Prizes will also be awarded to the first-, second-, and third-place pledge earners.

Could Your Dog Become the 2027 All Paws Spokesdog?

Abby is serving as the official 2026 All Paws for a Cause spokesdog, but the YWCA is already looking for the pup who will take over the job next year.

The dog that raises the most money in pledges will become the 2027 spokesdog. The winner will be featured on event posters and promotional materials and will even make television appearances representing All Paws for a Cause.

Basically, your dog could finally start contributing to the household. You can make a pledge to an All Paws participant online and help a favorite pup compete for the title.

How All Paws for a Cause Supports Southern Tier Women

The dogs might be the ones getting most of the attention, but the reason behind this event is much bigger.

Every registration, pledge, and donation supports the YWCA’s ENCOREplus program, which has provided breast and cervical health outreach, education, and advocacy in the Southern Tier for more than 34 years.

The program helps uninsured and underinsured women access free breast and cervical cancer screenings. It also works to remove obstacles that can prevent women from making or keeping an appointment, including transportation and the need for child or adult care.

All of the money raised through All Paws for a Cause stays in the community to support local women.

You don't need a dog to be part of the day. The YWCA is looking for volunteers to assist with registration, activities, and event operations. Anyone interested can register online to volunteer.
