How to Survive the Monday After Super Bowl
Whether you'll be staying up way, way past your bedtime on Super Bowl Sunday and know that you're going to have to function on minimal sleep on Monday or you're planning to toss back a few more than you usually do and know that you're going to wake up with a blinding headache, here are some things that you can do when you wake up Monday morning that will make your day a bit more bearable.
By good breakfast, that doesn't mean reaching for a slice of pizza leftover from the night before. Instead, make sure that you get a good source of protein, like eggs, a carb, like some bread, and a healthy fat, like avocado.
Before sucking down a ton of coffee, reach for water. Water will give you the hydration that you need. Stay away from drinks like orange juice because the acid will only make your stomach hurt more.
It might be tempting to munch of leftover chips and fried foods, but if you can eat veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, or cabbage, they'll help you detox faster. As for fruit, fruits like strawberries can help because they've got an amazing amount of antioxidants.
