It happens EVERYTIME! The snow fall lets up and you head out late at night to rid your driveway of all the build up. Then you come out in the morning to find the snow plow on the overnight pushed 3 1/2 feet of snow from the road over the front of your driveway. It's dirty, brown and even heavier that the crap you shoveled the night before.

Well here's a way to make this not happen. A little shoveling life hack that will save your back and the bumper of your car from smashing through the mound.

This method was tested by WIVB of Buffalo
.

Here’s how it works: If you focus on clearing an area about ten feet to the left of your driveway, when the plow comes down the street it will push snow in that cleared out area, clearing the plow of all the heavy snow leaving just remnants to drive over at the end of your driveway.

The “ten foot clearing” technique would work well from the beginning of the season or, if you can do it now it could save you from extra work for the rest of the season.”

Some have tested it out and have had mixed results. Give it a shot and let us know what happened for you.
