Police say a man who possessed heroin and crack cocaine faces several felony charges after he was taken into custody at the bus station in downtown Binghamton.

Authorities say 30-year-old Rashi Johnson of Queens was arrested on Tuesday.

According to the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force, Johnson was taken into custody after he got off a bus at the station on Chenango Street. He traveled to Binghamton from the New York City area.

Officials say Johnson was in possession of 217 bags of heroin and about seven grams of crack cocaine.

Johnson was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators say Johnson was on parole. State parole officials were advised of his arrest and a parole violation warrant is expected to be issued.
