If you live in Broome County, there's a really good chance that you walk, drive, or live by either the Chenango or Susquehanna river. Have you ever looked out at the banks of the river and thought how clean it looks? That didn't just happen by chance. It's not a coincidence that our riverbanks are nice and clean, it's thanks to volunteers who've literally picked up several tons of trash over the years.

Love our rivers and have a little extra time? Maybe you work with youth or have kids of your own and you want to instill in them the value of some good old fashioned work? Whichever applies to you, you're invited to help keep our community beautiful by lending a hand to the Broome County Riverbank Clean-Up.

An invite has been issued to community members and organizations to help with the 32nd Broome County Riverbank Cleanup. This year’s Riverbank Cleanup will be held  Saturday, October 13th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., but you need to register no later than this Friday, October 5th if you plan to lend a hand. Once you fill out the volunteer form, someone will get in touch with instructions on what to do next.
