It's the 3rd Annual Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame Induction Dinner. As we honor and remember our Community's Legends of Sport. Ten individuals and one team will be inducted next week, Monday, April 24th at the DoubleTree by Hilton in downtown Binghamton.

The dinner's net proceeds benefit our local Boys & Girls Clubs and the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame. It also will help establish a location for the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame.

Here are the inductees: Holly Aprile, Nancy H. Bromley, Bill Chanecka*,Steve Chomyszak*, Kelsey Green, Bob Holbert, Jim Hoover, Sarah Patterson, John Schultz, Jerry Skonieczki and the 2016 Maine-Endwell Little League Baseball World Series Champions. (*denotes Posthumously Awarded). To read about their accomplishments, go here.

This year's keynote speaker is Legendary New York Giant QB (you don't know how hard it is for me to say that) and CBS Football Commentator, Phil Simms. Ron Darling had to back out for personal reasons.

Someone asked me if I was going since I'm a Washington Redskin fan. Absolutely! I like him as an announcer and as a person. I'm told that he has a really good story and look forward to what he has to say.

Entertainment will be provided by Bess Greenberg. She's a singer, songwriter and musician. She's also a member of the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame.

The mission of the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame is:

Initiate an Annual Sports Hall of Fame Dinner with a nationally known sports figure as the featured speaker; Honor local people (past and present) who made significant contributions to the world of sports for induction into the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame;

Donation to benefit a local charitable non-profit organization and acquire in time a permanent location for the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame, where the community would have access to view the accomplishments of the honorees and to remember them.

Get your tickets before they sell out and you miss out on this great event, get them here.
