As you may or may not know, weekends and vacations for me, mean spending time at a campground in the beautiful Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania. More specifically Bradford County.

Our regions of the Southern Tier of New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania are so beautiful during the warm weather months. We tend to forget that fact at times since we live here.

That fact hit me one time when my wife and I were vacationing in Utah, admiring the beautiful scenery of that state. The red rocks are just amazing, even in winter when they have a bit of snow cover. During our visit, we were talking to a local resident of Kanab, Utah, and when we told them where we live, they exclaimed how beautiful it must be to live in an area of the country where there is so much green and how nice it must be to live in that area of the county. In this case, the grass is greener on the other side.

Anyway, back to the lush green part of our country, during our most recent vacation, I decided to venture a bit past the campground and visit an area close by that I never checked out - the Marie Antoinette and the Wyalusing Rocks overlook. It's located on Route 6 between Towanda and Wyalusing, Pennsylvania.

Both overlooks give you a nice view of the valley in front of it, including the Susquehanna River and the French Azilum which was built for refugees fleeing the French Revolution in 1793. Check out a few of the pictures I took during our visit, below.
