A Binghamton man, wanted on a dangerous drug charge in Pennsylvania, is back in custody after a Broome County Sheriff’s Deputy noticed a Jeep in a local hotel parking lot that he recognized as one frequently operated by the suspected fugitive.

A look at the Town of Chenango hotel roster found 40 year old Shermaine Cave was checked-in and he was taken into custody in his room.

Authorities say they also found Cave in possession of crack cocaine, Hydrocodone pills, narcotic packaging material and over six thousand dollars in cash.

In addition to the felony dangerous drug charge from Stroudsberg, Pennsylvania, Cave is now charged in Broome County with felony fugitive from justice, and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail to await extradition back to Pennsylvania.
