Firefighters Battle Blaze at Five Mile Point Home

Little information is available concerning a reported house fire in the Town of Kirkwood on February 15.

 According to the Broome Firewire, Five Mile Point firefighters were called to a home on Springer Road at around 5 p.m.

Broome Emergency Services had no information the next morning about whether any one was hurt.  Kirkwood and crews from several other companies assisted Five Mile Point at the scene for several hours.

In addition to weather conditions, the remote location of the home posed a challenge for firefighters.
