No injuries are reported after firefighters were called to a garage on fire on Route 11 in Kirkwood at 1:36 a.m. February 25.

Broome County Emergency Services officials say the blaze damaged the detached garage, a small shed and some vehicles but did not jump to the main residence in spite of winds that were steady at over 10 mph and gusting over 20 mph at the time.

The home is located near Epic Environ Protection Company and just a few yards south of the Interstate 81/ Route 7 onramps.

 Route 11 was closed for a time while fire crews were on the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
