Today marks the official kickoff to the 2014 football season with Seattle facing off against Green Bay at 8:30pm on NBC and if you haven't placed your picks for our Pro Football Pick'em, you might wanna get on it!

This sounds crazy, but NFL chief marketing officer Mark Waller might be onto something as he's trying to convince schools to include fantasy football as part of the curriculum.

During a recent interview, Waller explained that fantasy football is a complex game. Kids would have to know how many points are needed to win and how to predict the number of points a player might get. And if kids love football, they’re more likely to pay attention to math questions that deal with football.

At the very least, kids would pay more attention to those questions than the ones about trains leaving the station three hours apart and meeting in the middle, right?
