Endicott Police Say: Forget the GPS Around the Dicks Sporting Goods Open

The Endicott Police are telling travelers in the area of the Dicks Sporting Goods Open tournament at EnJoie Golf Club they should not rely on modern technology to get where they are going.

The Village Police have posted a statement saying: “We kindly advise you to NOT use your GPS on Friday. Instead, please follow the NYS DOT Signs. This will ensure traffic flows safely as traffic patterns will be different.”

After the Keith Urban concert, both lanes of Main Street will operate one way heading eastbound from Grippen Ave. to Nanticoke Ave. If you are driving, please make appropriate arrangements after the concerts to properly navigate this traffic change.

Police say: “Do not expect to follow normal traffic patterns when traveling in West Endicott. Please make sure you follow the flow of traffic. This may mean a slightly longer route for some travelers. This is to ensure the safe flow of traffic. “
