Endicott police are investigating a shooting incident on East Main Street near Roosevelt Avenue.

Village Police Chief Patrick Garey says shortly after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, the Police Department received a call at 1703 E. Main Street regarding a report of an argument followed by a shooting.

According to the Chief’s news release, one person was found with an apparent gunshot wound and was taken to Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center.

That person’s condition is not known.

Garey said: “This incident is not related to any events that occurred this evening in downtown Binghamton or to national events related to protests or rioting.”

Endicott Police were being assisted by the New York State Police Troopers.
