Endicott Man Gets 15 Years in Prison for Vestal Burglary

A convicted burglar with nearly two-dozen previous arrests has received a lengthy prison sentence in connection with a break-in at a business in Vestal.

49-year-old Paul Huss of Endicott Wednesday was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison in connection with a September 2017 burglary.

A Broome County Court jury in July found Huss guilty of burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

Prosecutors had said Huss unlawfully entered a Vestal building, then stole a 2000 Ford F-550 truck and various tools belonging to a business.

According to the district attorney's office, Huss was sentenced as a second violent felony offender with 22 prior arrests and "numerous" convictions.

Vestal police arrested Huss and a Castle Creek man in October 2017 as part of an investigation into the burglary at the Commerce Road business.

Investigators recovered dozens of military grave markers they believed had been stolen when they executed search warrants in Endicott.
