Elf on the Shelf has been catching some flack lately. Some parents and psychologists don't like it and claim that it's "creepy".  Well, in the words of Aaron Rogers: R-E-L-A-X.

Suzie is known to be mischievous from time to time. She's also looking out for me, er, I mean Tara. For awhile now, I've been adding sugar to our strawberries for an extra kick of sweetness. Apparently I've been leaving a small mess on the counter in the process.

Suzie, being the kind Shelf Elf that she is, wanted to make sure that I cleaned up when I was done. Since she decided to perch on the canister of sugar, my strawberries had to go sugarless today. I think she was also letting me know that I don't need the extra sugar.

I was bummed about my sugarless berries until Tara reminded me that their was a bag of sugar in the cupboard! HA! I get the last laugh, Suzie.

However on a slightly more serious note, the whole point of Elf on the Shelf is to have fun and perhaps provide your kids with a wonderful family tradition. Some elves are nicer than others, but honestly, the same could be said about humans.

Tara has done some pretty great things around the house since Suzie's been watching. I don't know about you, but I wish Suzie came around all year long! So to the parents and psychologists that think that the Elf on the Shelf is dark and creepy, I say R-E-L-A-X and enjoy, it's the holidays for heavens sake!
