Supporting Disabled Veterans

This event promises to be a blast for the whole family, all while supporting a wonderful cause. All donations and funds raised will go to Stand With Me Assistance Dog Team Training, Inc., a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing service dog training to local veterans with service-connected mental health disabilities. The best part? This program is 100% free for disabled veterans, so every dollar raised goes directly to helping our deserving heroes.

A Day of Activities and Entertainment for All Ages

Paws and Pints will be packed with activities and entertainment for everyone, including vendors selling pet-centric items and services, raffles, and a silent auction featuring pet-themed items and unique local art and wares. Get ready for exciting competitions with a pet costume contest and a best trick contest, as well as thrilling demonstrations by a canine frisbee team and the Stand With Me honor guard. And that’s not all – there will be food and beverages available for purchase to keep you energized for all the day’s festivities.

This list is of eleven military historic sites, some big and some very small, but all played a part in keeping the flame of freedom burring for our country. While certain places, like West Point or the Saratoga Battlefield, are known to all Americans, it is the smaller places that hold maybe just a short chapter of American military history that I like best.

Maybe a ship, or a museum, or a battlefield. There is a wide range of places on this list and all offer up a great deal of interesting information for the history buff.
