When I was growing up, one of my favorite memories was playing basketball and going to basketball camps. It was an opportunity to play my favorite sport and meet new people. Even though I didn't know it at the time, it gave me great life experiences and memories.

It's something that I looked forward to every year and if that's you then you won't want to miss out on this event in our own backyard.

It's the 2018 Davis College Youth Basketball Camp but time to register is running out. It's a day camp for beginners and advanced boys and girls entering grades 3-6. It runs June 25th-28th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

It focuses on learning the fundamentals of the game in a fun and engaging way. Let's face it, if it's not something you enjoy, then you'll never try and get better on your own.

Davis College Men's Basketball Coach, Dan Rathmell has been working basketball camps for over 20 years and will be in charge. Assistant Women's Basketball Coach Derek Schreiber will help run the camp. Schreiber help lead the team to a Conference Championship and has over 10 years experience as a youth and college coach.

If it's anything like the basketball camps that I went to growing up, it'll be an experience that they'll take with them past high school.

The camp is limited to 60 campers for the week so register now to secure your child a spot. It's only $50 and it includes a camp T-Shirt, so go here to get more info.
