Country Stars Share Their Favorite Thanksgiving Memories
Thanksgiving is most definitely a holiday that creates memories in each of us. For me, when I think back on Thanksgiving, it isn't so much the meal that I remember, but it's the time that we spent together as a family making gingerbread houses, which is something we did faithfully each year until slowly, one by one, we each became an adult and moved away from home.
I truly loved our Thanksgiving tradition of making gingerbread houses and it left such a lasting impression on my heart that I've continued it with my own little family. Family time and traditions really are what make the holidays so special and it was really great to see that a few country stars opened up to Sounds Like Nashville about their favorite Thanksgiving memories. After reading their stories, I think you'll agree that their lives are actually really similar to ours.
“My best Thanksgiving memory, I think, is just hanging out with family, watching football and eating too much.”
“Thanksgiving—we love Thanksgiving, ‘cause we get to be with our families and we don’t often get to spend time with our families, our extended families, until the holidays.I love being around the table with my family and talking and laughing and cooking and eating…”
Cole Swindell told Taste of Nashville, “My favorite memories of Thanksgiving are just getting together with the family each year. Being gone so much on the road, it’s nice to just see everybody and catch up. AND, I try to fit as much food from the kitchen on my plate as possible. It’s got to last me a year!”
