Deputies were called to Route 26 in the Town of Willet January 28 with a report of a suspicious man walking in the area.  Investigators say they found 23-year-old Jason McCrady had been driving a Jeep that had been stolen in Virginia.

Sheriff’s officials say it was determined McCrady had been driving the vehicle while under the influence of drugs.

He’s charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while ability impaired by drugs and driving without a license.

He was ordered to appear in Town of Willet Court next month.
