Cortland Sex Offender Apprehended After Struggling With Deputies

A Cortland man is accused of struggling with authorities trying to arrest him for failure to register as a sex offender.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say they got information concerning the whereabouts of 30-year-old Zachary Gulini who was wanted on a felony arrest warrant for failing to register as a sex offender and found him at a home on Washington Street in Cortland at around 6 a.m. November 22.

Deputies say Gulini fled the home and physically resisted arrest.

He’s charged with misdemeanor obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest in addition to the felony warrant.

He was sent to the Cortland County Jail and scheduled to appear in Cortlandville Town Court.
