A nurse in Vermont did one simple act of kindness that set off a chain reaction which changed a whole lot of lives, including hers.

Kathleen Connors of Barre, Vermont, is a regular at the L&M Diner and after winning some money playing bingo, she decided to share her good fortune by buying breakfast for a father and son at the diner. Kathleen didn’t know them and didn’t want them to know she was paying for their meal- she just told the waitress she wanted to take care of their bill.

When the waitress told the father and son their bill had been paid, they were inspired to do the same. So they anonymously took care of someone else’s tab.

That goodwill continued for the next seven hours – with 46 more diners paying for other people’s meals!
