Boscov's announced that they are going to support the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) all throughout the month of July.

They're asking people to bring non-perishable food items to Boscov's in downtown Binghamton anytime between now and July 31st, and they will deliver the food to CHOW.

Summer is typically a rough time for food pantries like CHOW. A lot of the kids that rely on free meal programs at school do not have that option during the summer. That puts a strain on the supply of food for the hungry in our area.

According to WBNG, Boscov's assistant store manager Camille Pompeii said that Boscov's gives back to the community non-stop and it really makes them feel like they're part of the community in Binghamton.

So if you are heading to Boscov's to do some shopping, or just heading downtown in general, why not go through your cupboards and grab some non-perishable food items to drop off at Boscov's to help the hungry in the Binghamton area.
