The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park has some exciting news! As of Monday, March 25th, Phillip Ginter officially began his stint as executive director of the zoo. Philip is a lifelong resident of Broome County and has a big background in the local non-profit community.

He's been involved with the Broome County Arts Council, HealthLinkNY and the United Way of Broome County. Everyone will have a chance to meet him on Grand Opening Day on Saturday, April 20th.

There is a Members Only Night on Saturday, April 27th from 5 to 7 p.m. and you'll have a chance to meet Genter on that night too.

The Binghamton Zoo is celebrating their grand opening by having their annual Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 20th and Sunday, April 21st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

They'll have crafts, an Easter bunny meet and greet and more. You'll start at the ticket booth and go around the zoo and find 5 different colored Easter eggs. The kids can redeem the eggs for candy and prizes.

If you're looking to support the Binghamton Zoo, here's a way to do it and have a great time at the same time. It's Binghamton Devils Zoo Night on Saturday, April 6th. You can get special tickets here for only $16 with $2 from each ticket supporting the Zoo.

America's 5th oldest zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton.
