Southern Tier Veterans Wanted to Share Their Stories
There’s a special event called Stories of Service Town Hall happening on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, from 5pm to 8pm at Taste of New York, 840 Upper Front Street in Binghamton.
Who Can Speak
Any Veteran who wants to share their story is welcome. You don’t need to be a public speaker. You’ll get 10 minutes to talk about what your service means to you.
What to Share
The stories can be serious, funny, proud, painful, or peaceful. You can read a letter, talk about a photo, or just speak from the heart. All experiences are respected and requested.

Who Should Attend
Even if you are not a Veteran, the public is invited to come and listen. This is a chance to understand what service is really like beyond what we see in the movies and headlines.
Why It Matters
The goal is to bring Veterans and neighbors together. Sometimes the best way to thank someone for their service is to sit, listen, and learn.
Hosted by Local Support Groups
The event is put together by the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group and the Binghamton Vet Center, both dedicated to helping Veterans in our area. If you are a veteran who wants to share your story you'll need to reach out to the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group and let them know.
