Binghamton Mets Begin 25th Season on Thursday
We are just one day away and I can't wait. It's the silver season for the Binghamton Mets. I remembered when they moved here in 1992. I was there for their first Eastern league championship in 1992.
Twenty five years later they are still going strong and have some exciting changes coming in the near future.
The season begins at NYSEG Stadium against New Hampshire. It features skydivers, ceremonial first pitch by a legendary Binghamton & New York Met and "Thirsty Thursday" courtesy of The Hawk.
To see everything that is happening on Thursday, go here. They''ll be home all weekend with Fireworks on Friday and a Downtown Doubleheader Deal with the Binghamton Senators on Saturday.
That's not all, they are having a "Name the Team" contest. You can help them name the hometown team. Traci came up with "Parlor City Predators." That is going to be hard to beat, Can you do it?
