Binghamton German Club Needs Your Help to Preserve 100 Years of Tradition

The Binghamton German Club is a place dedicated to celebrating German traditions, and has been here for over a century. This is a place for anyone who appreciates good music and all-around Gemütlichkeit.

This was started by immigrants that wanted to maintain their love for their homeland, the German Picnic Grounds and Clubhouse in Kirkwood have been the heart of many enjoyable German festivals including Brats 'n Brews, Sommer Biergarten, Oktoberfest, and Harvest Dance, just to name a few.

Every Friday night, the Club is filled with energy as members and guests get together for the famous Stammtisch in the Ratskellar. Food, drinks, and camaraderie never fall short during these weekly meetups.

The Binghamton German Club also has the award-winning Binghamton Gemishtechor, a German-language mixed chorus that competes and performs locally. Even if you're not German by birth, the love of German culture is all that's needed to become a part of this vibrant community.

The Club welcomes everyone to come and experience the joy of German traditions, whether it's through language classes, visits to German eateries, or even organized trips to Europe.

However, they need your help to keep this rich heritage going for generations to come. The Club needs a new furnace, they have to repair two gable end vents, install two new grease traps in the kitchen, pay for annual water system upgrades and other property maintenance.
