People who have yet to receive a Covid-19 shot soon will be able to get one simply by showing up at any state-run vaccination site.

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the new policy Tuesday afternoon during an appearance at the Binghamton University library annex in Johnson City.

Cuomo said walk-in vaccines will be available for anyone over the age of 16 starting Thursday.

The governor expressed concern about the recent trend of fewer New Yorkers seeking vaccines.

Cuomo said Covid is still dangerous. He noted there were 26 coronavirus deaths reported in New York on Tuesday.

The governor also said New York state is going along with the revised CDC masking guidelines for people who've been vaccinated. Masks no longer are recommended for those who are fully vaccinated when outdoors in small groups.

Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
