2022 is here and it's New Year's Resolutions Week. Are you still writing 2021 on your checks? Does anyone (besides me) even write checks anymore? Have you broken your New Year's Resolution? Did you even make a resolution at all this year?

If I ever was interested in opening a gym, I would call it "Resolutions." It would be the perfect place to get in shape...if your shape is a pear. It would have exercise equipment for the first couple of weeks, then it would switch over to a snack shack for the rest of the year.

On a slightly more serious note, what wish do I have for 2022? I wish that we would take a break from the way that we have politicized everything. Everyone is taking a side and no one is really listening to each other.

My biggest fear is that when we do encounter a serious situation in our country, no one will believe it because of all the rhetoric that has been shoved down our throats for the past two years.

In my opinion, we are putting our faith in the wrong thing. Instead of believing in the elephant or the donkey, how about this year we give the Lamb a try. By changing our focus and tuning out the noise, you'll get peace of mind that will change everything.

Mark Patrick Seminar In Binghamton

By the way, if your resolution for 2022 is to lose weight or stop smoking, then I have the perfect suggestion for you. It's the Mark Patrick Seminar at the Holiday Inn Binghamton Downtown on Tuesday, January 25th.

The weight loss seminar goes from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and the stop smoking session begins at 8 p.m. Do it for yourself or the loved ones in your life because someone will miss you if you're not here.
